During a party, there are two board events that are required to occur before advancing: Captain Events and Boss Battles. The former occurs whenever a player arrives on a Captain Event Space. The event differs for each board, but they all allow the players to earn more Mini Stars, though the player that has started the event always has some form of control over the event, putting him or her in an advantage state. As for Boss Battles, there are two Boss Battle Spaces on every board, one near a fortress and one at the end. During the Boss Battle minigames, players must work together to defeat a boss while attempting to increase their own individual scores, as the player with the highest score wins the minigame, which gives more Mini Stars than normal.
Mario Party 9 PAL WII-SUSHi
Reviews for Mario Party 9 have been generally mixed to positive. It has received a 73 from Metacritic based on 45 reviews.[7] and a 75.05% from GameRankings based on 30 reviews.[8] IGN gave it a 7/10 explaining that the graphics are good but the music is repetitive and the luck plays a big role in determining a player's fate in the game. GameSpot gave it a 6.0 explaining that it is too familiar and that Solo mode is tedious and required for unlocks. Game Informer gave the game a 5.75/10, explaining that the game relies far too heavily on luck and can make for a "disheartening experience."[9] Destructoid gave the game a 7.5/10, praising the reduction of motion-control minigames, and saying that many of the minigames feel like true Mario experiences and not Mario versions of party games, and that the influence of New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Galaxy, and to a lesser extent, Super Mario Sunshine, is "pretty much the game's central theme," and that it feels more like an "honest-to-god" Mario game than the other entries, but complained that the game is still determined a lot by chance.[10]
A fun, if flawed, game on the Wii U, we wouldn't mind seeing a streamlined Deluxe port of this. It would be a different game on Switch thanks to its use of the GamePad and controls which, for some, proved tricky to master. Still, Switch is lacking in the Star Fox department, and if there's a first-party game on this list that could really benefit from a second pass, it's probably this one.
With the success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons no doubt prompting sales of this bargain bin favourite to skyrocket (due to the Isabelle amiibo and cards it came bundled with), this is one first-party title we're not desperate to see again. It's dull as dishwater and the Wii U deserved better.
The Wii library deserves to come to Switch far more than the Wii U library. Nintendo's first party games were better, and the third-party games were light years better. I'd love to see what they'd look like with updated production values.
Since you've got third party Wii U games on the list, you're missing some gems (some were previously mentioned): Need for Speed Most Wanted (best version of the game), Splinter Cell Blacklist, the Arkham Games including porting Asylum, Mass Effect 3 (first two would be nice as well). Don't know what Activision would do with the two Call of Duties considering they haven't remastered BOPS 2 but I find it amazing the Wii U got 2 of them while the Switch is even missing the remasters of CODs that were on the Wii! Injustice is probably a no unless they bundle it with the second I guess and Tekken Tag Tournament has been dead for years. Can't think of anything else missing
I have bought two games this year, Bioshock a third party game, and Paper Mario a Nintendo game. I normally buy at least ten games a year. So what do I play, not much, i don't play the Switch as much and it's ok.
Other then that, this list is dumb. All the 3rd party stuff is 0/10, the Zeldas are 10/10, and everything else is ... just so insignificant I don't understand why we are talking about it. Mini game collections and e-shop games no one played are not getting remakes.
